This year's annual  river toobin' party will be on the Guadalupe River at the "Rocking 'R River Rides", 1405 Gruene Road, Gruene, Tx. 78130.  In case you need to call, the toll free number for Rockin 'R is 1-800-55FLOAT, (that's 1-800-553-5628 for anyone with an aggie phone pad.)   It's located near the bridge at the bottom of the hill below Gruene Hall (on the northern outskirts of New Braunfels, Texas.)
Plans are to eat afterwards and party later at Gruene Hall.
We hit the water at 1:30 pm so get there early to get your toob squared away.

Toobing:  $10 toob rental with or without bottom. Sign up ahead of time at any Los Amigos function and save yourself some time on toob day. Rental includes transportation back to the picnic area. Remember to bring a floatable ice chest for your drinks. No glass or styrofoam allowed on the river.

Tubing will begin at the picnic area and go down river for about 3.5 hours. Wear shoes in the river. Children age 7 and under are not recommended for this trip. Concerned toobers may want to bring a life jacket. This adventure is a bit more exciting than the past trips on the Comal River.

Lube:  Club does the hamburgers, hot dogs and the fixings. You bring the side dishes and your own drinks. Side dishes include beans, potato salad, chips, dips and desserts. Please RSVP so that we can get an approximate head count for the food. Volleyball court will be available. Bring your lawn chairs, too.

Groove: After the toob and lube the group is headed over to Gruene Hall for an evening of music entertainment, not to mention cool refreshments of the long neck type.   Hot Showers are available - thank heavens!.

Toob, Lube and Groove RSVP –
Wanda K. Polasek, 667-9522.  Leave your name, number of tubers in your group and the side dish(s) you're bringing.
