GENERAL INFORMATION

Happy Hours are held at various locations in and around the San Antonio area.   They usually begin  ~5:30 PM and last until you decide to leave.  Please keep posted on monthly events and activities as listed below.

CLUB MEETINGS:    (3rd Tuesday of the month unless otherwise specified.): Unless otherwise specified, the club meeting location is at the Old San Francisco Steakhouse Restaurant, 10223 Sahara, San Antonio, Tx. 78216, ph#210-342-2321. We will have a "pay as you go" bar and probably 1 or 2 waitresses (depending on the crowd), lite munchies (vegies & cheese) at no charge.  Club Meeting Times as Follows:      - 6:00 PM - Trip Leader Setup Time      - 6:30 PM - Bar Opens      - 7:00 PM - General Club Meeting.

New Location for the 2005-06 Ski Season Unless otherwise specified, the club meeting location is at the Ocean Star Seafood & Grill Restaurant, 1039 NE Loop 410, San Antonio, Tx. 78209. We will have a "pay as you go" bar and probably 1 or 2 waitresses (depending on the crowd), lite munchies (vegies & cheese) at no charge.

JANUARY 2005:   

• Jan 4th (1st Tue)- HAPPY HOUR:   Ocean Star Seafood & Grill, 1039 NE Loop 410 (the old Crystal Steak House).    It’s on the First Tuesday, Jan 4th at 5:30pm.  
  
      
• Join into the fun and frivolity of the Mud Festival, in support of the Paseo del Rio Association.
  Please support my dear friend, Karen Evans, in her quest for the muddy crown!  The King and Queen will be determined amount of donations they raise for the beautification of the river, so bring all your loose change, and your checkbook if you're feeling particularly generous!

FEBRUARY 2005:   

• Feb 1st - HAPPY HOUR:   It’s on the First Tuesday, at 5:30pm.  Massimo's, 1896 Nacogdoches at New Braunfels Ave. intersection in Carousel Court (the old "Raffles"), 78209. 
   
• Feb 4 - 20 - San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.   The 56th annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo will open on Friday, February 4 with a special PICA Xtreme Bulls riding event, and will continue through Sunday, February 20 with the rodeo finals. This will be the third year for the rodeo to be held in the brand new SBC Center, which has more seating capacity.

  LASC Board elections coming up in March.  The Board Nominating Committee: Jeff McGuire, Anne Myers, Melinda Schraub, & Ray Harvey will be asking around for interested candidates for next season's LASC Board. If you're interested, ask for more information.
     

• Mar 1st - HAPPY HOUR:   It’s on the First Tuesday, at 5:30pm.  Chuy's Mexican Restaurant, 18008 Hwy 281 @ 1604, 545-0300. (Southeast corner of 281 at 1604)  Longnecks $2.00, $3.00 margaritas.  
   
• Mar 22nd (Note: 4th Tue), - CLUB MEETING.   Old San Francisco Steakhouse Restaurant, 10223 Sahara, 78216, 342-2321 on the third Tuesday. 
  
  Please mark your calendars: Since so many Los Amigos will be gone to Heavenly/Lake Tahoe during the 3rd Tuesday, the "Club Mtg/Election" is moved to the 4th Tuesday for THIS month only.

• Apr 5th - HAPPY HOUR:   It’s on the First Tuesday, at 5:30pm.  Stonewerks on Jones-Maltsberger (Across from the Quarry Market).  
   
• Apr , - CLUB MEETING.   Club meetings are suspended until August.  This allows the newly elected board to set up and get ready for next season during the summer months.

• May 3rd - HAPPY HOUR:   It’s on the First Tuesday, at 5:30pm.  Aldino's, 1604 & Blanco on their patio.  
   
• May XX, - CLUB MEETING.   Club meetings are suspended until August.  This allows the newly elected board to set up and get ready for next season during the summer months. 
  In the meantime, keep informed of summer events which will be posted here.
   
• May 17th - End-Of-The-Year Party
  Our End of Year Party is booked for Tuesday May 17 at the Ocean Star Restaurant at 1059 NW Loop 410. The party will be held in the Ocean Room (the large room in the in front). The event will begin at about 5:30 - 6:00pm, and go until 8:00 - 8:30pm. We'll have a cash bar with at least two wait staff to handle the drink orders.
