CLUB MEETINGS:
(3rd Tuesday of the month unless otherwise specified.):
The club meeting location is at Maggies Restaurant, 9715 San
Pedro Ave., San Antonio, Tx. 78216, ph# 210-349-4375.
 We will have a "pay
as you go" bar and probably 1 or 2 waitresses (depending on the crowd), lite munchies
(vegies & cheese) at no charge.

NOTE: America's Most Wanted: "LASC
Board" - This gang is also known as the "Los Amigos Ski Club
Officers", and "Chairpersons". Most often
seen loitering around Los Amigos Club events or activities. These are NOT dangerous
people, folks! Feel Free to approach WITHOUT caution or reservation to ask questions
or just to introduce yourself. They should have all the answers about the Los Amigos
Ski Club and some answers you don't even want to ask.

Frontage Road of 1604.
- Jan 8th - Elvis' Birthday. There are STILL Elvis siting
around. He even has parties.

MARCH 2003:
- Mar 3rd - is the deadline for
registration for the 2003 TSC Bid Meeting the first weekend of April. Contact any of our
officers for details.
- Mar 4th - Happy Hour (1st Tues
each month): - ~ 5:30pm, Kennedy's Public House, 19179 Blanco Rd. Phone:
764-1333 Blanco Rd. and Huebner (Southwest corner in the strip
center), just North (outside) loop 1604. This is a new bar, with a small
kitchen,
- Mar 6th, Thursday, 6 PM - 8 PM - The Best of
the Southwest PARTY!!! The folks from
Telluride, Crested Butte, and Durango Mountain Resort are hosting a Happy Hour at
Tomatillo's. 3210 Broadway, 210-824-3005. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome to
drop in. (See attached flyer)

- Mar 25th - - CLUB MEETING: ( 4th Tuesday this month only ): The club meeting
location is at Maggies
Restaurant, 9715 San Pedro Ave., San Antonio, Tx. 78216, phone 210-349-4375.
Just a reminder that our March meeting will be
on the 25th (4th Tues.) instead of the normal 3rd Tues.to allow those on the Quebec trip
to return. The meeting is important because it is an election meeting. We will
be at Maggies . . . however, it will be held in the bar area and adjacent seating
area instead of our "normal" room. Spread the word.

This gives the New Board time to start planning for the summer and next ski season.
- Apr 18th, Friday Night - Enjoy the company of other Los Amigos at Night in 'Ole Alamo Heights. On
the grounds of the Alamo Heights Swimming pool area. Use the shuttle buses that load
at the Albertson's in Lincoln Heights Center (Basse Rd. and Broadway) and save yourself
the parking headaches.
- April 21st, Monday - San Antonio River Parade The
annual Texas Cavalier's River Parade. Always held the first Monday evening during Fiesta
Week. Come watch the Texas Aggies marching band - They still haven't figured out they need
a barge for a float!
- Apr 22-25th, Tuesday-Friday - NIOSA Fiesta-San
Antonio Style. See you at NIOSA in La
Villita
downtown. (That's "Night in Old San Antonio", for all you non-Texans.) Come by
and visit us and
say "Hi!" at the Fajita Booth (Pronounced "fah-hee'-tah"), located in
the "Old Plantation" Section.
- Apr 25-26th, Sat-Sun. St. Mary's Oyster Bake on the
grounds of St. Mary's University.
Mary's University Annual Oyster Bake. Board the Via Buses at the various Park-'n-Rides
around town. See the Newspaper for details. The dates were changed due to Good
Friday falling April 18.
Hours are: Friday, April 25, 5 to 11 pm and Saturday, April 26, 11 am to 11
pm.
MAY 2003:
May 1st-4th - Helotes
and CORNYVAL. "WHERE THE HILL COUNTRY BEGINS", more info . . . Haven't had enough of
Fiesta San Antonio? Don't stop now, go to Helotes to continue partying.

CORNYVAL???? No need to look up this spelling in a
dictionary, as you won't find it there at all. Cornyval is the name of an event that is
about to celebrate its 37th consecutive year, starting Thursday, May 1st and run
through Sunday, May 4th, on the festival grounds located on Leslie Road, just off
of Highway 16 in Helotes. |

Ground admission to Cornyval is $6 for adults,
FREE for children under 12 (grounds admission only) Thursday and Sunday FREE. Rodeo tickets are $7 plus
$6 Cornyval grounds admission. Pre-sale ticket prices are $5 grounds admission and $6
rodeo admission and may be purchased at Hill Country Feed, Plaza Bank, Compass Bank,
Sheplers, and Cavenders Boot City.

May 6th - Happy Hour
(5:30pm-7:30pm) will be at one of our favorite places... Piatti Restaurant 255 East Basse Rd.,
SA, TX 78209, 832-0300. Piatti is located in the Quarry Market where
Jone-Maltsberger dead-ends into Basse Road. (on the east side of US Hwy 281).
JUNE 2003:
HAPPYHOUR will be held on Tuesday
at Mitchell's Sports Bar and Pub, 1923 Lockhill-Selma between West Avenue
and NW Military.
June 7th - The End-of-the-Year
Party will be held on Saturday at Sam's Burger Joint, 330 East
Grayson, from 6pm to 8pm. There will be a live band playing, drink specials, and members
will receive a coupon good for one of Sam's burgers.
JULY 2003:
HAPPYHOUR will be held on Tuesday
at Razzoo's Cajun Cafe, 14404 San Pedro (next to
MAMA's on US Hwy 281 going North). phone: 403-2770.

MEETING: Kickoff Club Meeting of
the 2003-2004 Ski Season at Maggies,
9715 San Pedro at McCarty Lane. Come and sign up for some Ski Trips.
Snowbird, Beavercreek, Chamonix, Big Sky, Kimberly/Ferni, Heavenly Lake Tahoe and the
Caribbean Cruse.
Doors open at 6:30pm. All of this year's trip leaders will be on hand to begin signing up
people for this year's trips. We want to remind everyone that 2003-2004 dues MUST be paid
when members sign up for a trip, unless they have already renewed.

NOVEMBER 2003:
 Oct 31 (Friday) - Nov 9 (Sunday) - WURSTFEST 2003 in New
Braunfels, Tex. This would be a great time
to start planning for a group tour visit to WURSTFEST 2003.

 HOURS
and SCHEDULE: Wurstfest opens on weekdays at 5 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 11 am.
Wurstfest closes at 12 Midnight on Thursday and Fridays, 11 pm Sunday through Wednesday, 1
am on Saturdays and at 10 pm on the last Sunday.
ADMISSIONS: Festival admission is $8.00 ($6.00 if purchased by Thursday, October 30) and
includes access to all entertainment areas including the Wursthalle. Children 12 and under
are admitted free. For group rate information and special day discounts, call

DECEMBER 2003:
- Dec 2nd - HAPPYHOUR: The
December "Christmas
Happy Hour Party" will be held at Aldino's
Restaurant in The Vineyards, Loop 1604 at Blanco Road, on Tuesday December 2nd.
We will be collecting toys and clothing for San Antonio Battered Women's Shelter at this
year's Christmas party. Here's a list of suggested items. Please help support this year's
collection by bringing your donation to the party.
FOR MOMS:
Purses/wallets, shoes/slippers, watches/costume jewelry, pocket planners, curling
irons/blowdryers, sweaters/windsuits, new clothing (petite to plus sizes), makeup,
perfume/bath gel, hair brushes/accessories.
FOR TEENS:
Walkmans, watches, video games (hand held), journals, wallets/purses, portable radios,
clothes (boys & girls), footballs/basketballs, books, CD players, board games,
batteries.
FOR KIDS:
Any toy (EXCEPT GUNS/VIOLENT TOYS), New clothes (boys & girls), legos/building blocks,
board games, New stuffed animals, dolls/Barbies, New socks, pajamas & underwear,
strollers, books, nerf footballs.
These are obviously suggestions and hopefully will give everyone an idea.
- Dec 16th - CLUB MEETING:
No club meeting this month due to Christmas being so close and many other Christmas
Parties. The Club Meetings will resume in January 2004.
